composer’s note:
summers day“Eternal Summer” is a completely unashamed exploration into the beauty of choral sound. In setting Shakespeare’s classic sonnet “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?” to music, I’ve used sumptuous harmonies, full-throated singing, and simple declamation of text. “Eternal Summer” is about the glory of choral singing, the beauty of human voices singing together, and the passionate love in Shakespeare’s text.
